Before and After
Job Overview
As you can see in the photo, the umbrella stood over a patterned outdoor rug with its fabric neatly tied closed. The curved metal frame extended from a heavy round base, the kind designed to hold steady through windy afternoons. Nearby were a glass patio table, trimmed landscaping, and a raised brick step that led to a cozy backyard seating area.
Patio furniture like this often gets replaced after years of sun exposure. The frames usually hold up, but the fabric fades or tears, and the bases become awkward to move around once they are no longer needed. When homeowners upgrade their outdoor setup, removing the old umbrella becomes the first step toward opening the space again.
Our Sunland junk removal team handles outdoor furniture pickups like this all the time. Tall umbrellas, lounge chairs, broken tables, and worn patio pieces tend to be bulky and difficult to transport without the right tools.
For larger outdoor items across the city, our Los Angeles junk removal service helps homeowners clear patios, yards, and garage spaces so new furniture or landscaping projects can move forward without leftover clutter.
Our Approach:
- The umbrella canopy was secured tightly so the fabric would not swing open during the lift.
- The curved metal frame was separated from the weighted base to make each piece easier to carry.
- The heavy base was lifted using a dolly and rolled carefully across the brick patio surface.
- The umbrella frame and fabric canopy were carried to the truck and stacked along the side wall to protect the arms.
- The base was loaded last and positioned flat so it stayed stable during transport.
More From This Job
Within a short time the tall umbrella that once dominated the patio space was gone. The courtyard was left open again, with the outdoor rug and seating area ready for whatever upgrade or redesign the homeowner had planned next.
