Before and After
Job Overview
Letting go of a house full of stuff isn’t always easy, but it can be the first step toward moving forward. Last weekend in Altadena, we tackled a whole-house cleanout for a family clearing decades of old furniture, broken appliances, and hidden junk from every room.
This job was special because the owners needed to prep the house for sale quickly. They’d inherited the property and were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff… from heavy wooden sofas and bed frames to shelves, drawers, and random household items, nearly every room had something that needed to go. They wanted it done fast so they could bring in painters and realtors.
Here’s how it went down:
- Arrived early with a crew and trucks ready for the haul
- Started with bulky items (sofas, mattresses, broken dressers) to clear walking paths
- Sorted recyclables and donation-worthy items to minimize landfill waste
- Cleared out each room so the family could easily move forward with staging and repairs
- Hauled away leftover yard debris and hazardous household junk safely
