Before and After
Job Overview
Storage units can turn into time capsules fast. What starts as a short-term hold often becomes a stacked maze of boxes, furniture, and things long forgotten. This Glendale junk removal project tackled one such unit space filled to the ceiling with mixed household items, office gear, and old shelving.
The client had been renting the unit for years and finally decided to clear it for good. Our Glendale junk removal team met them on-site at a storage complex just off the 134 freeway. The access path was tight, but we backed the green Junk Giant trailer close to the roll-up door to keep everything within a short carry.
Inside, the space was packed wall to wall with furniture pieces, plastic bins, and stacked boxes labeled from old moves. We started by sorting visible categories: wood furniture on one side, cardboard and paper materials on the other. A few metal frames and shelving units went straight to our recycling pile. Once we cleared the first few feet, the rest of the job unfolded quickly, each layer opening up more room to work safely.
Like most Glendale cleanouts, this one required a careful balance of speed and sorting. We always make sure usable household goods are separated for donation drop-off rather than bulk disposal. By the time we hit the back wall, the concrete floor was visible again for the first time in years.
Our Approach:
- Arrived on time and reviewed the contents with the client.
- Sorted items by material type: furniture, boxes, and recyclables.
- Dismantled metal shelving and compact furniture for hauling.
- Loaded full trailer in two runs, with donation stop in between.
- Swept and photographed the cleared unit for client records.
