Before and After
Job Overview
They needed a little more breathing room… and a lot less oak.
This Manhattan Beach junk removal job was all about reclaiming space. The client had an oversized dresser that had been sitting unused for years. Too heavy to move alone, too bulky to sell easily, and definitely not going up the stairs, it was time to call in backup.
What made this job stand out? It wasn’t the size or the weight (we’ve hauled heavier). It was the location. The dresser was wedged into a tight hallway corner on the second floor of a beachfront townhouse with no elevator. That meant navigating narrow stairwells and tight turns, all without scuffing the fresh paint or disturbing the neighbors. Tricky… but not impossible.
Here’s how it went down:
- Assessed the layout to plan a clear path
- Protected walls and floors before moving anything
- Broke down the dresser partially to avoid damage
- Hauled the pieces safely down two flights of stairs
- Swept up and left the space cleaner than we found it
